Answers to common questions about IN GST Calculator. Still stuck? Email us and include your iPhone model and iOS version.
How does the app choose CGST + SGST or IGST?
In the calculator, pick the tax type next to Add/Remove GST. On bills, the app compares your business state (Settings → Business) with the place of supply: same state means CGST + SGST, different states means IGST.
How do I take GST out of a price that already includes it?
Choose Remove GST in the calculator. The app shows the price before tax and how much GST it contained. On a bill item, turn on Price includes GST.
Can I add up several amounts?
Yes. The keypad has + − × ÷, so you can type something like 1,250 + 2 × 499 and the GST is worked out on the result.
How do I put my business details on invoices?
Go to Settings → Business and add your name, GSTIN, state, address and contact details. They appear at the top of every invoice and quotation.
How does the UPI QR code work?
Add your UPI ID in Settings → Business. Unpaid invoices then show a QR code your customer can scan with any UPI app to pay the exact amount. Always confirm the payment in your bank or UPI app.
The app says a GSTIN is valid. Is it registered?
The check confirms the format, state code and check digit, which catches typing mistakes. It can't confirm registration; look the GSTIN up on gst.gov.in to be sure.
A GST rate I need isn't listed.
Tap Custom in the calculator or Other rate on a bill item and type any rate. You can also change the default rate in Settings.
Where is my data, and can I move it to a new phone?
Everything stays on your device. Use Settings → Data → Back up everything to save one file to Files or iCloud Drive, then Restore from backup on your new iPhone. Restoring your iPhone from an iCloud or computer backup also brings it across.
How do I record a part payment?
Open the invoice, tap the ••• button and choose Record Payment. The invoice shows the balance due, the UPI QR asks for the balance, and it's marked paid once the full amount is in.
Where are the GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B summaries?
On the Bills tab, tap the grid button and choose Reports. Pick a month, quarter or financial year to see sales, tax, B2B and B2C totals, an HSN summary, and export a CSV sales register or PDF summary.
